CONTRAST
Contrast refers to a type of distinction made between two (sometimes more) concepts - either as a simple comparison or as a distinction with some quantifiable (often sharp) degree of difference.
Contrast is the difference in visual properties that make an object distinguishable from other objects and the background. In visual perception of the real world, contrast is determined by the difference in the colour and brightness of the object and other objects within the same field of view.
